DAVIE, FL — Vortex Aviation, a global leader in on-wing and quick-turn turbine engine repair, has announced the successful induction of its first Pratt & Whitney GTF PW1130G-JM engine at its state-of-the-art facility in Davie, Florida.
This milestone marks the official launch of PW1000G series engine capabilities at the new facility. It further enhances Vortex’s service portfolio, which already includes support for CFM56, LEAP 1A/1B, IAE V2500, and other major commercial jet engine models.
Next-Gen Facility Built for Next-Gen Engines
Vortex Aviation relocated to its 45,000-square-foot engine maintenance facility in late 2020. This expansion enables Vortex to meet the rising global demand for narrow-body aircraft engine support, especially for:
- Airbus A320neo
- Boeing 737 MAX
- A220
- Embraer E190-E2 / E195-E2
The Davie facility allows Vortex to support both next-generation and legacy turbine engines, delivering cost-effective, responsive repair solutions tailored to today’s dynamic aviation environment.
“We are excited to reach this new milestone with the induction of our first GTF PW1000G engine,” said Timothy Forbes, Managing Director and Accountable Manager at Vortex Aviation. “Our new facility has significantly increased our capacity and broadened our service scope. We are proud to offer strategic engine support for the newest aircraft platforms while continuing to serve our legacy engine customers.”
